Star Chaser Sailing Ltd was founded in 2006 when Boogie bought Star Chaser in Newport, Rhode Island.
Boogie had had the dream of running his own boat for race charters and cruising charters for a while and finally found the right boat, a beautiful Swan 51 from 1981. A complete refit in 2006/2007 done in the UK had made sure that Star Chaser now is the ultimate boat for yacht charters, be it racing, cruising or offshore sailing.
Star Chaser Sailing is run by Boogie and Marlies and specialises in race charters and cruising charters in both Europe and the Caribbean as well as Atlantic crossings and offshore passages.

- ARC, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers – sailing across the Atlantic from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to St Lucia
- Transatlantic Adventure – the other Atlantic crossing! Going from Antigua to the Azores and then on to the UK
- Rolex Fastnet Race with a full campaign including training and qualifying races
- St Barths New Year’s Eve Regatta

In the summer months, Star Chaser also organises corporate sailing days, teambuilding days and family or fun cruises.
Star Chaser is based in Hamble in the summer, but with our full Atlantic Circuit program, we only spend 3 to 4 months there.
Both Marlies and Boogie are keen racers and skippers and passionate about sailing and Star Chaser (for more information have a look at The Crew). They will make sure you have an unforgettable time on Star Chaser whether it is a long dreamed about Ocean crossing, a corporate day in the Solent or a competitive regatta under a blue sky and nice sun.
