This is the largest regatta in the Caribbean, attracting over 200 yachts in 2009 and is well known for serious racing and serious fun. It’s a must for Caribbean calendar as both the racing as well as the partying are of great quality!
Apart from the racing, St. Maarten is an interesting island with lots of places well worth the visit and is famed for its unique culture and duty free shopping. It also is the smallest island in the world to be divided between two nations (France and The Netherlands).
You will be joining the boat on Monday the 1st of March. We will have 2 to 3 (spinnaker) training days so you can get to know your team as well as the boat. The official party calendar starts on Wednesday, but be sure the whole week will have some serious fun! Racing will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday with every evening a special party at the endpoint of the races. Sundaynight the regatta ends with a big celebration party in Simpson Bay.
